SLIM DIGIS 2.6 Brings Sri Lanka’s Digital Marketing Industry Into the Global Spotlight

COLOMBO, September 23, 2026 — Sri Lanka’s digital marketing industry gathered at Monarch Imperial, Colombo, on September 22 for the grand finale of SLIM DIGIS 2.6, as the country’s leading digital marketing awards platform recognised campaigns, brands and professionals driving innovation across the digital landscape.

Organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) under the theme “Mission to Extraordinary,” this year’s awards marked a significant expansion of the platform, with international participation introduced for the first time.

The latest edition attracted more than 550 entries, reflecting the growing scale of Sri Lanka’s digital marketing and communications industry. The entries were evaluated by a panel of more than 70 industry experts, led by Head of Jury Shalendra Mendis.

The awards recognised work across areas including digital innovation, artificial intelligence, creative content, corporate branding, cross-media integration, agile marketing and purpose-driven digital campaigns.

Digital Marketing Takes Centre Stage

The event highlighted the increasing role of digital platforms in helping businesses build brands, engage consumers and deliver measurable commercial results.

SLIM CEO Chamil Wickramasinghe has described digital marketing as increasingly central to how businesses build relevance, engage audiences and drive growth, while the organisation continues to focus on developing skills and capabilities within Sri Lanka’s marketing ecosystem.

The international expansion of SLIM DIGIS also provides Sri Lankan agencies and brands with an opportunity to benchmark their digital campaigns against work submitted from outside the country.

Strong Industry Performance

Several agencies and brands recorded major wins at this year’s ceremony.

Digibrush Productions secured 41 awards, including three Gold, 12 Silver, 20 Bronze and six Merit awards, emerging with the highest award tally reported for an agency in the competition.

Loops Integrated claimed the Grand Prix, alongside three Gold awards and 10 additional wins, taking its total haul at the event to 14 awards.

Meanwhile, New Media Solutions (NMS) secured 11 awards for campaigns developed for Softlogic Life Insurance and Unilever Sri Lanka’s Closeup brand, including recognition for artificial intelligence, creative content and cross-media integration.

JXG Spotlight, the proprietary content platform of Janashakthi Group, also received two awards, including a Silver in Best Use of Digital in Corporate Branding and a Bronze for Best Use of Creative Content (Brand-Created).

The results underline the growing importance of creativity, technology, data and strategic digital execution in Sri Lanka’s competitive business environment.

With international participation now part of the SLIM DIGIS platform, the awards are also positioning Sri Lankan digital marketing talent for greater exposure beyond the domestic market.
