Home Lands Completes Piling for Port City’s Central Park Boulevard Ahead of Schedule

COLOMBO, October 15, 2026 — Home Lands Group has completed 100% of piling work for its ultra-luxury residential development, Central Park Boulevard Port City Colombo, in 88 days, marking a major construction milestone ahead of schedule and advancing the project towards its next phase.

The twin-tower development, located in the Central Park District of Port City Colombo, involved the construction of 192 piles using nine piling machines deployed by three contractors: Access Engineering PLC, San Piling (Pvt) Ltd., and D P Jayasinghe Piling Company (Pvt) Ltd.

According to Home Lands, the piling operation was carried out around the clock, enabling the project to progress ahead of its planned timeline. The achievement follows an earlier milestone in September 2026, when the development had reached 60% piling completion.

With the foundation piling now complete, construction is moving into the superstructure phase. Home Lands expects to deliver the development within 36 months from the current stage.

The progress represents a significant step for the developer’s first residential project within Port City Colombo, a planned international business and lifestyle destination expected to attract both domestic and foreign investment.

Home Lands Chairman and Managing Director Nalin Herath said visible construction progress provides prospective buyers and investors with an important measure of confidence, adding that Central Park Boulevard was advancing beyond the conceptual stage.

The development is designed to combine luxury residential living with access to green spaces, waterfront surroundings and views of the Indian Ocean and Colombo skyline. Its residential portfolio will include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, sky villas, penthouses and exclusive Emerald Mansions, supported by more than 50 amenities designed to international standards.

A key feature of the project is its integration with a proposed 40-acre Central Park, which will include a scenic waterway. Construction of the park is expected to be completed within 24 months, according to the developer.

The combination of residential facilities, landscaped open spaces and waterfront access is intended to position Central Park Boulevard within the premium end of Sri Lanka’s property market.

Home Lands is also preparing to introduce a second residential development within Port City Colombo, with a combined inventory of more than 1,700 units across the two projects. The company says the expansion would establish it as the developer behind the two largest residential projects undertaken by a single Sri Lankan developer at Port City Colombo.

The Group’s broader development pipeline comes as it continues to expand its residential delivery record. Home Lands stated that it has already delivered more than 3,750 units across multiple developments, with a further 400 units expected to be ready for delivery by the end of 2026.

If achieved, this would take its total delivered units beyond 4,000. The company also reported having sold more than 5,000 units worldwide, positioning its delivery performance as a key component of its appeal to local and international buyers.

Central Park Boulevard residences are being offered from LKR 60 million, according to the developer, providing an entry point for buyers seeking property exposure within Port City Colombo’s emerging premium residential segment.

The project’s progress comes amid efforts to position Port City Colombo as a destination for international business, investment and high-end residential development. For the property sector, developments of this scale could broaden Sri Lanka’s premium housing market and create opportunities to attract overseas buyers and investors.

Through its expansion within Port City Colombo, Home Lands is seeking to strengthen its presence in the ultra-luxury residential segment while leveraging its operations across real estate development, construction, property management and lifestyle services.

The completion of piling establishes a key construction milestone for Central Park Boulevard, with the project’s next phase expected to determine the pace of progress towards its planned delivery.
