Litro Gas Shipment Carrying 3,900 MT of LPG Scheduled to Arrive Today

COLOMBO, October 18, 2026 — Litro Gas Lanka Limited is expecting a shipment carrying 3,900 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to arrive in Sri Lanka today, with the company planning to release an additional 350,000 domestic gas cylinders to the market over the next three days.

In a statement, the company said unloading operations would begin promptly after the vessel arrives, enabling the distribution of the incoming LPG supply to support domestic demand.

Litro Gas said the planned release of cylinders would follow the distribution of another 350,000 domestic gas cylinders over the past three days, including today, as part of efforts to maintain an uninterrupted supply across the country.

The additional shipment is expected to support the availability of cooking gas for households and other consumers amid the company’s ongoing efforts to sustain market supplies.

Litro Gas Lanka also urged consumers to avoid unnecessarily stockpiling gas cylinders, emphasising the importance of responsible purchasing to help maintain an orderly supply and distribution system.

The planned delivery and subsequent distribution form part of the company’s efforts to meet domestic LPG demand and minimise disruptions to consumers.
