Aitken Spence Hotels’ Rs. 5 Billion Debenture Issue Fully Taken Up on Opening Day

COLOMBO, September 16, 2026 — Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings PLC has successfully secured strong investor demand for its maiden listed, rated, unsecured, senior redeemable debenture issue, with the offering being fully subscribed on its opening day.

The company initially sought to raise Rs. 3 billion through the issue of 30 million debentures, priced at Rs. 100 each.

Following the strong demand, the company exercised its option to increase the issue size by a further 20 million debentures, taking the total value of the offering to Rs. 5 billion.

Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings said it received applications for more than 50 million debentures, representing the full amount available under the expanded issue.

As a result, the debenture issue was closed at 4:30 p.m. on September 15, the first day of the offering.

The strong subscription reflects significant investor interest in the company’s debt securities and marks an important development for Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings as it accesses Sri Lanka’s capital market through its first listed debenture issue.

The basis of allotment will be announced to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
