Multilac Upgrades Colombo Municipal Council Day Care Centre for Children’s Day
COLOMBO, October 5, 2026 — Multilac has completed a series of facility improvements at the Colombo Municipal Council Day Care Centre as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at creating a safer, more comfortable and child-friendly environment for children.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Colombo Municipal Council to mark Children’s Day, included improvements to the centre’s facilities and the provision of essential items to support the children’s comfort, hygiene, safety and recreational needs.
As part of the project, Multilac also provided paint to refresh the centre’s interior, desks and chairs, giving the facility a more welcoming environment for children.
The Multilac team further added colour to the premises by creating a vibrant exterior mural, transforming the surroundings into a more engaging and cheerful space for the children.
To mark the completion of the initiative, the children presented a special programme expressing their appreciation to the Multilac team for supporting the centre.
Representatives of Multilac, together with the Deputy Mayor of the Colombo Municipal Council, ceremonially opened the upgraded facility.
The initiative reflects Multilac’s continued commitment to supporting child welfare, safer community spaces and meaningful community development, while contributing to improved environments for children in Colombo.
